A honeymoon couple in a ryokan, still in their yukata after dinner, sliding the paper door shut and laughing as they fumble with the sashes. Long-term lovers in an Osaka apartment; a husband who brings his wife breakfast and ends up back under the covers. These scenes are about partners who know each other's bodies by heart: easy kisses, inside jokes, unhurried sex on a futon and a cuddle afterwards that nobody cuts short.

Married women stepping into the spotlight are in Japanese Wife. Couples recording themselves anywhere in the region are in Homemade, and the tender pace carries on in Romantic.
